I saw a display of the activity books while picking up a few supplies at CAL Ranch the other day. The books are recommended for children 5 and older, and contain puzzles and pages for coloring. There are fishing, hunting, waterfowl, hiking and camping, and even farm animal and extreme sports activity books.
So rather than letting their minds turn to mush from television and video games, give them a couple of outdoor activity books to keep them involved in the outdoors even at home.
